Touble with Strong Perfumes

Hi Diary,

Can you tell me why some people love wearing perfume? The scent fills the air and affects everyone around them - how is that any different from smoking?

I've been sensitive to “artificial” smells since I was a kid. When perfume is too strong, it gives me headaches and makes me feel nauseous.

Yesterday, I went to a travel expo with the kids, and we ended up surrounded by people wearing heavy perfume both at the event and on the MRT ride home. Being stuck in close quarters with that scent for so long was really uncomfortable.

Interestingly, I noticed that about 80% of these perfume-wearers were men. Do guys really like wearing perfume that much now?
